See what they've been saying about the Wingscapes BirdCam...

Here's a cool thing--I'm testing out a "BirdCam"--a great little weatherproof remote camera that can take photos with a motion detector sensor or via a remote control. I was staying with my mother-in-law the last few days, and so I set it up in her feeders. It does a really good job, and has some well-thought-out features. You can set the focus for how far the camera is from the birds you expect, and you can hang it up from a tree or secure it to a lot of feeders by using the bungee cords included. It took me no longer than 5 minutes from opening the box to getting it up and running, too!

Wingscapes Birdcam Review (Verdict: Sort of Awesome!)
The nut: A finely-built piece of hardware that is a treat for bird lovers. Or those who generally love to spy on things....the Birdcam is top-notch...the pictures themselves look sharper than I'd expected...There are tons of options for tweaking, from image and video quality, focal distance, and shot delay. There's even a built-in laser guide to help you figure out exactly where you'll be shooting. There's also fully-automatic modes that work fine if you're not interested in tweaking. You'll probably get the best results if you take the time to learn what the Birdcam can and can't do...It's built tough, too, and weatherproof. It comes with all the stuff you'll need to use it, too, minus batteries and an SD card.

The BirdCam is usable "out of the box." A few simple instructions written on the inside cover of the device will have you taking photos in minutes using the default settings...The laser aiming device is an excellent feature...the photo and video results are excellent...I feel that the technology and the quality of the results warrants the cost...the real appeal of this device is the thought of capturing something new in your yard or observing some interesting behavior...an excellent gift for any backyard bird lover.

The BirdCam has opened up a whole new way for me to pursue both birdwatching and photography. Through the Wingscapes BirdCam I can find out what is going on in my backyard while I'm away, and also get photos from perspectives that would be difficult or impossible otherwise.  Now my kids are suggesting new ways to use it, so I think I'm just getting started.

Wingscapes created the most amazingly cool device for those of you who wonder what happens at your bird feeder all day. Seriously, this is the perfect holiday gift for any bird lover! It has the capability to catch photos by motion, by remote control or by time lapse. VERY COOL! And.... it is so easy to set up! Bonus!...Downloading the previous day's activities fromThe BirdCam is liking opening a little gift each day. Oh, the excitement! Who visited today? Who chased off who? We are playing with distance now and plan to use the video piece this week.

I set up my Birdcam this morning in Video Mode and left it to its own devices whilst I did homework, chores etc etc...I didn't realise it would record sound as well so thats nice. It's also compatible with my movie maker software so I can dd music and cool effects! The beauty of the camera is that I can leave it be and do other stuff, so it's perfect for peeps who don't have much time to sit and take pictures or reel off footage.

There's a neat feeling to getting home after working all day and seeing the frame counter at 1200-some pics. I'm still fiddling with the number of shots per event, the time between events, etc., but I'd rather pitch lots of duplicates than miss something interesting. And with birds, there's always something interesting, isn't there? One thing I found out is that we've had our first Dark-eyed Junco of the season, even though I've failed to see or hear it myself yet...One of the addicting things about this kind of set-up is you never know what might be in the next frame....Fun stuff indeed...I look forward to thinking up some fun camera placements and hope to periodically share the results. For now, time to top off the trays again & see what tomorrow brings. Great idea and very neat tool...Thanks, Wingscapes!!

I got my Wingscapes BirdCam up and running. I love it. I just know that while I'm out and about visiting schools during the day for work that all sorts of rare birds are stopping by my yard. They are surely visiting the feeders, perched in the Tulip tree or the within the roses. These beautiful migrants are drinking from the water sources, or pecking on the ground for something interesting. And now that I have this camera, oh you can be sure, they're going to be caught in the act.

Wingscapes - Unlocking the Secrets of Your Yard...
Ever wonder what birds are visiting your yard while you are away at work or school? Wingscapes‘ remote camera, the BirdCam, takes away part of that mystery, unlocking the secrets of the wildlife in your yard. We have been using the BirdCam for a couple weeks now, testing out various areas in our 1/4 acre yard to find out what birds are where. Setup was a breeze, taking more time to put batteries in than to set up the desired distance and position. There are various ways you can mount the BirdCam including the bungee straps that come with the product. Our preferred method thus far has been to use a tripod since the camera can be positioned at almost any angle and height with ease.Using the tripod next to our homemade peanut feeder, we were able to capture some interesting video of a Downy Woodpecker and a Red-breasted Nuthatch. Then came the big test: how would the BirdCam work when placed by our homemade birdbath-dripper? Very well!! Over the last couple weeks our BirdCam has captured over 600 pictures and 30 video clips. We were impressed by the camera’s ability to only trigger when a bird was present (mostly), especially with the dripping water...The BirdCam would make a great Christmas present (even to yourself). We wish we would have had the BirdCam for this year’s migration - our dripper-bath is always full of warblers and it would be nice to know what we missed! Overall - 9 out of 10 feathers
