• Q: How should the feeder be cleaned? Although it tolerates outside weather I assume its best not to submerge the feeder in water to clean it. Is is ok though for the inside to get wet if it were to be cleaned?

    A:

Jim, Before beginning the cleaning process remember to remove the feeder kit and do not get the electronics wet! Next, completely empty any remaining contents from the hopper and use light bleach and water to disinfect the inside of your feeder. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to eliminate bacteria, bugs, and residue. Let your feeder air dry, or wipe it down with a scent free towel before re-filling your feeder.
